Technical Assistance
Desolation Meadows (DM) Restoration Project will take place in a high priority salmon and steelhead stream. The restoration effort will occur on the North Fork of Desolation Creek, in the North Fork John Day Sub-watershed - Umatilla National Forest. The overall project goal is to achieve proper ecological form and function of DM and its floodplain and meadow habitats, thereby improving spawning and rearing habitat for several listed fish populations, and ecosystem function for other aquatic and terrestrial species. TU in partnership with the CTWS, and the UNF will plan, design, and implement the project. In addition CTUIR, ODFW, and the BOR will serve on the project's technical team.
